When Jess Hamm began her shift as a nurse, she never would have expected it to change her life forever. The 30-year-old from Florida was caring for Delilah, a 1-year-old weighing only 11 pounds. She and her twin sister, Caroline, were reportedly abused, but Hamm loved them already and wanted to give them a happier home. So she took in both girls before formally adopting them.
