Could Oprah Winfrey Become a US Senator?

Oprah Winfrey is reportedly being "floated" as a '"possible replacement" for ailing Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein. The 89-year-old senator just returned to the Senate after battling shingles. She is also wheelchair-bound and is reportedly having cognitive issues. If she resigns, California Governor Gavin Newsom would appoint a replacement to serve the remaining 18 months of her term. No word yet on whether Oprah is interested in the position.
