Princess Diana’s ‘Black Sheep’ Sweater Goes Up for Auction

Princess Diana’s iconic “black sheep” sweater is going up for auction. She wore it in 1981 to a polo match to watch her then-fiance Prince Charles play. Diana actually tore the sweater at that polo match. Buckingham Palace sent a letter to Warm and Wonderful, asking if it could be repaired or if they would provide another.  Instead, the owners who made the sweater decided to send her a brand-new one. Turns out, the original sweater was tucked away in an attic for more than 40 years.
