Celebrity-filled headlines were a constant in 2019. Gayle King interviewed R. Kelly after he was indicted on sex abuse charges. The singer has denied any wrongdoing. “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett was accused of staging a racist, homophobic attack in Chicago. Charges against him were dismissed. Two of America’s beloved TV moms, Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, were caught in the middle of a college admissions scandal. Huffman pleaded guilty and served her time. Loughlin pleaded not guilty.
