R. Kelly’s Former Attorney Believes Singer Was ‘Guilty’ of Child Porn Charges

March 8, 2019

The attorney who won an acquittal for R. Kelly on child pornography charges now says the singer was "guilty as hell." Lawyer Ed Genson says he was so convinced of Kelly’s guilt he made the singer take drugs to suppress his sex drive before the 2008 trial. "He was guilty as hell! I'll tell you a secret; I had him go to a doctor to get libido-killing shots. That's why he didn't get arrested for anything else,” he told the Chicago-Sun Times. Genson is now 77 and gravely ill with bile duct cancer.
