Retired Michigan Judge John Roemer Allegedly Executed by Man He Once Sentenced

Retired judge John Roemer was executed in his own basement, zip-tied to a chair and shot to death. Police found Roemer and 56-year-old Douglas Uhde, who was injured from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Roemer had once sentenced Uhde to 10 years in prison for armed robbery. Police say Uhde had a hit list that included Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer and US Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
