Retracing Barack Obama’s Steps From His Childhood to Time in the White House
President Barack Obama has often discussed his unique childhood. When he was 6, he moved to Jakarta, Indonesia with his mother and stepfather. In 2008, Inside Edition traveled to see the neighborhood where he grew up and to find out what he was like as a student. Years later, Obama found himself sleeping on a sidewalk when he moved to New York City. He would go on to draw record crowds at his 2009 inauguration.
