Riders Rescued After Daytona Roller Coaster Derails

It was a terrifying scene Thursday as a roller coaster derailed mid-ride at a Daytona Beach, Florida amusement park. The roller coaster has been in operation for 40 years. It had actually been inspected just hours before it went off the rails and found to be "in compliance with state law." On Friday, people on the busy boardwalk are asking what went wrong as the ride known as ‘The Sand Blaster’ had 2 riders ejected from the front car and thrown 34 feet to the ground.
