Scottie Scheffler Charged With Assaulting Police Officer Before PGA Championship

Scottie Scheffler was arrested as he was making his way to play in the PGA Championship. He allegedly tried to drive around the scene of a fatal traffic accident. Police told him to pull over and the situation escalated. Scheffler was charged with assaulting a police officer. Scheffler’s booking sheet says he "refused to comply (with police instructions) and accelerated forward, dragging (the officer) to the ground." He showed up to the PGA Championship, three hours after his arrest.
