Sea Otter Pries Open Oyster and Eats It at Oregon Zoo

This sea otter is hungry! Look at it go to town shucking an oyster at the Oregon Zoo. The otter is named “Uni Sushi” after its favorite food. Watch the sea otter keep at it, hammering away until the oyster is pried open. Sea otters often use rocks to help open their food. They love several kinds of shell fish, including clams and mussels. Finally, the sea otter gets its meal and devours the oyster. Yum.
