Spain’s Cumbre Vieja Volcano could become La Palma’s longest-erupting volcano,
according to experts. It has been spewing lava and ash for more than 70 days and could
break a record that has stood for the last 500 years. Experts say another vent had emerged
as volcanic activity showed no sign of abating since Cumbre Vieja first erupted on Sept. 19.
