Spaniel Puppy That Was Snatched From Alligator’s Jaws Gets Deputized in Florida

A famous puppy got a new job! Five-month-old Gunner made news recently, after he was snatched from the jaws of an alligator. His unflappable owner, Richard Wilbanks, was praised for keeping his cool during the frightening incident. “Crazy story, happy to say that Gunner is here today because of Rick’s fast actions, jumping in without hesitation,” said Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno. Gunner was made an honorary sheriff’s deputy to help teach children about safety.
