Spider Sex Party Covers Greek Beach in 1,000-Foot-Long Web

A beach in the Greek town of Aitoliko has been blanketed with spider webs stretching more than 300 yards. It was all spun by arachnids known as "stretch spiders." True to their name, stretch spiders are longer than your average spider. They're also, fortunately, harmless to humans and plants, but not to mosquitos and gnats. A Greek scientist said an increase in the bloodsuckers' population this year contributed to the situation.
