Spirit Airlines Passenger Says Plane Was Stuck on Florida Tarmac for 7 Hours
Spirit Airlines passengers say their plane was stuck on the tarmac in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for seven hours. They say the flight, heading to Virginia, was waiting for the pilot to show up. Plane delays are up this year, with an estimated 6,000 flights delayed each day. Airlines cite everything from pilot shortages to wild weather as the cause for delays. In July, United Airlines passengers verbally lashed out at a gate agent after their flight was also stuck on the tarmac for seven hours.
