Tennessee Governor Grants Cyntoia Brown Clemency

For years, civil rights advocates and celebrities have been fighting for Cyntoia Brown's freedom. Now, those efforts have paid off. Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam granted Brown, 30, clemency on Monday. She was convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison after fatally shooting John Allen, 43, who she says solicited her for sex. Brown was just 16 at the time.
