Blood Test Shows Mother Arrested for DUI Was Sober

A Tennessee mom was arrested for DUI after failing a field sobriety test. The police report claimed Katie Slayton showed uncoordinated behavior and slurred speech. But Slayton says she was simply exhausted after working a 12-hour shift at her hospital in a COVID-19 ward. Turns out, she also took her regular prescription dose of adderall. Six months later, her blood test result came back negative for alcohol. The charges against Slayton were dropped.
