This YouTuber’s Beauty Tutorials Show Off Indigenous Culture

Chelsey Moon is like other YouTubers in that she posts about ASMR and beauty. But unlike other vloggers, she is Ojibwe and her videos all come with an indigenous twist. Chelsey went viral for her beaded eyebrow look, inspired by the designs found on her peoples’ clothing. “When I first joined YouTube, I didn’t see anybody that was native,” she said, so she decided to become the indigenous representation she craved on the platform.
