Alleged fraudster Elizabeth Holmes isn't the only one who wants to speak with a deeper voice. Her lower register is thought to be fake, and she used it to sound more authoritative and in charge, like her male counterparts. But one voice coach said Holmes was using the muscles in her throat to constrict and squeeze, which is wrong, and that there are ways to deepen your voice without harming yourself.
