Tips for Women to Stay Safe When Traveling Alone on Vacation

Andrea Weatherly, 38, is doing something that can be daunting: traveling alone. But according to Booking.com nearly 72 percent of all female travelers go solo. More than ever they have reason to be extra careful.  Just last month an American woman on safari by herself in Uganda was kidnapped and held for ransom. She was later released. Last December a 36-year-old Florida woman traveling alone in Costa Rica was found stabbed to death in her AirBnB. So, Andrea is taking precautions.
