Towering Little Amal Brings Awareness to Child Refugees

She’s already 12-feet tall, but only 9 years old. Little Amal the giant puppet met Pope Francis while on her 5,000-mile journey to raise awareness for child refugees. The pontiff, who is a strong supporter of rights for refugees and migrants, met Amal in the San Damaso courtyard after she was followed by dozens of children of the parishes of Rome who welcomed her in St. Peter's Square.
