Every summer, drowning tragedies are compounded by double drownings. That's when someone tries to save another and drowns in the process. Jalan Alston lost his life trying to save his friends who were swept away in a rip current. Experts say your first instinct might be to risk everything and come to the rescue but the best thing to do is to wait for professionals to respond.
