    Windy Weather Helps Flights Reach Their Destinations Faster

    Airlines are reporting historically fast air travel because of high winds. Flights going west to east have been arriving way ahead of schedule, thanks to record-breaking tailwinds working in their favor. Planes normally fly around 560 mph, but one Virgin Atlantic jet clocked in at 800 mph. However, planes going from east to west are being delayed by the winds.
