Protesters marched and spoke in Australia this week, during an official day of mourning for the late Elizabeth II. The protesters want to do away with the monarchy, as one marcher told Reuters, "The monarchy represents everything that's wrong with the world today.” Australia is one of the Commonwealth nations, and technically is a constitutional monarchy. Charles III is the king of Australia. The queen’s death has occasioned a reassessment of the role of the monarchy.
