Daycare Workers Accused of Dosing Kids With Antihistamines

Police say some daycare workers slipped kids drugs, such as Benadryl, to put them to sleep. Marissa Briar says on her firstborn’s third day at a Vermont daycare, she received a text message stating her baby was sick. An autopsy later revealed that her daughter, Harper Rose, was given a lethal dose of an allergy medication not meant for babies. Prosecutors charged the daycare owner with manslaughter and child cruelty. The daycare owner, Stacey Vaillancourt, pleaded not guilty and denies any wrongdoing.
