In June 1968, Andy Warhol was in his New York City office, known to many as “The Factory,” when Valorie Solanas arrived and shot the artist. The shooting caused major internal damage that some say resulted in Warhol's death nearly 20 years later. It changed his life forever. But why did she shoot him?
