Former Ballerina Accused of Fatally Shooting Her Husband

Former ballerina Ashley Benefield is on trial for murder. She's accused in the shooting death of her husband. Benefield claims her husband was physically abusive. She was at her mother's home in Florida when she says he smacked her across the head. That's when she opened fire. Benefield says it she acted in self-defense and she was protecting. In opening statements, her defense team said Benefield lived in fear. However, the prosecution says she is a conniving killer.
