Loud Cicadas Inspire Country Songwriter

Country songwriter Wood Newton has been writing music for decades. Newton told WTVF that he was inspired by church and music he heard on the radio. The inspiration for his newest song is a little closer to nature: cicadas. A historic cicada bloom taking place around the U.S. is music to Newton’s ears.
