Miss Virginia Camille Schrier Showed Off Her Mad Science Skills as Her Talent
When it comes to the Miss America pageant, we're used to seeing contestants who dance, sing or play an instrument. But this year, you'll want to keep an eye on Miss Virginia. Biochemist Camille Schrier was crowned Miss Virginia at the end of June thanks in part to her impressive demonstration in the talent portion of the program. Sporting a lab coat, she blew away the competition with a colorful science experiment showing the catalytic decomposition of hydrogen peroxide. "Science really is all around us," she told the crowd to cheers.
