    Black Market Ozempic Sold Online but What Are You Really Buying?

    Ozempic is a diabetes drug that’s hailed by many as a weight loss wonder. Over the course of a year, Mary Morgan Mills says she paid a telehealth company nearly $4,000 for what was described as a "generic Ozempic," only to realize it didn't work. Some telehealth companies sell a so-called generic version of Ozempic with a key ingredient called semaglutide. In a statement, Novo Nordisk, the maker of Ozempic says it is the only company in the U.S. with FDA-approved including Ozempic, Wegovy and Rybelsus, products containing the drug's active ingredient semaglutide. They also say no generic versions of it exist, adding they will not tolerate unauthorized use of their Ozempic brand to sell products.
