R. Kelly’s Lawyer Says Lady Gaga Cut Ties With Him for Chance at Oscar Win

Lady Gaga’s public renunciation of R. Kelly isn't going over well with his lawyer. Gaga snagged a Golden Globe for Best Original Song for "A Star Is Born” and could be nominated at the Oscars. “I think Lady Gaga is doing what she thinks is politically correct so that she can preserve whatever chance she has of winning an Academy Award,” Steve Greenberg said. He said allegations swirled around Kelly well before Gaga collaborated with him.
