Teen Dies While Awaiting Liver Transplant Months After Twin Receives Transplant

Margi Coats and her 18-year-old son, Devin, are mourning the loss of Devin's twin brother, Nick, who died this week. "Nick wanted to live," his mom said. The brothers, born minutes apart, were diagnosed at age 17 with stage 4 cirrhosis of the liver. Both needed an organ transplant to survive, but were told they weren't sick enough to get on the waiting list. Months later, Devin received a donor, but by then, Nick had developed cancer.
