Yuba County Sheriff’s Deputy Uses CPR to Save Choking California Infant’s Life
July 20, 2021
Deputy Valentino Aguirre of the Yuba County Sheriff’s Department recently responded to an urgent call. A 1-year-old infant was unconscious and not breathing. Aguirre told Inside Edition Digital, “I’ve got to do everything I can to get this kid breathing, get this kid alert.” He administered CPR and cleared the child’s airway. After several tense minutes, the little boy began to breathe again. “And that's what I gave him back to his dad,” said Aguirre.
