5-Year-Old Squeals When Military Dad Surprises Her in Classroom

During show-and-tell at preschool, Leah Funk, 5, showed off her teddy bear that her dad gave to her before his deployment in Kuwait with the U.S. Army. Brian Funk, 30, of Wichita, Kansas, had recorded a message inside the bear so Leah would still be able to hear his voice. After Leah showed off her toy, Brian surprised her by showing up to class. Leah squealed with delight and jumped into his arms. “He was beyond excited to hold his little girl again and to finally get back to be a family,” said Leah’s mom, Jennifer.
