Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Resigns

Justin Trudeau, the prime minister of Canada, has resigned. The 53 year old has been Canada's prime minister since 2015, and leader of the Liberal Party since 2013. He energized the Canadian Liberal party when he took over more than a decade ago, but recent polls have shown his popularity sharply declining. Members of his own party have expressed their concerns publicly about Trudeau's ability to lead the party into the future. Trudeau remains prime minister until a new party leader is chosen.
