17-Year-Old Killed in Korean War 70 Years Ago Will Be Buried in Virginia

Army Private 1st Class Bobbie Ray Daniels, of Bedford Falls, Virginia, was a cavalryman, fighting alongside South Korean troops against the Soviet-backed North Koreans. The 17-year-old went missing in August 1950, and his remains were not immediately recovered. Scientists from Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency used dental and anthropological analysis, and the Armed Forces Medical Examiner System tested DNA to identify him. Daniels will be buried in his hometown.
