Burros have called the hills of Riverside County in Los Angeles home for over 70 years. Sadly, one of the wild donkeys had a run-in with the wrong person. John Welsh told KCBS’ Rina Nakano that the burro was either hit at a close-range or at a high velocity since the arrow went through its body. The burro’s lungs, liver and intestines were punctured due to the arrow, and it died in surgery. Inside Edition Digital has more.
