Woman Says She Was Scammed in ‘Virtual Kidnapping’ Hoax

A Pennsylvania woman is warning about "virtual kidnapping" after a man called and claimed he kidnapped her sister. According to Beth Royce, the terrifying call even came from her sister Kayla’s phone number. Royce says he demanded money or he would kill Kayla. That's when she quickly transferred the kidnapper $1,000. Her mother then called Kayla, who thankfully answered her phone. She says she was not kidnapped. Inside Edition's Lisa Guerrero has more.
