Students in Class George W. Bush Was Visiting on 9/11 Recall 7 Tense Minutes

When former President George W. Bush first learned about the attacks on Sept. 11, he was in the middle of listening to a class of second graders during their reading lesson in Sarasota, Florida. Lenard Rivers and January Towles were two of the students in the class that day. They are both now 27 years old. Ms. Sandra Daniels, who was teaching the class at Booker Elementary School, says she is still in touch with the sixteen kids who were in her class that day.
